I also am with you with Oyasumi Punpun; i love that manga. Chi no Wadachi is also a great pick - unsettling, frightening and showcases a story between a possessive, manipulative mother and her son. (made by the same author as Aku no Hana)

This manga really reminds me of Kakukaku Shikajika, one of my favourite manga of all time only reading this because of a youtube recommendation.

@pl3b true, thats probably why it seems so out of place in every scenario but i just feel like that the use of rape is used in order to make a point - which makes it feel like its only used for the shock value. it may be that i am looking this from the wrong angle

i feel conflicted the rape aspect seems both forced and well executed at the same time
