As stupid as the side characters are, they're kinda realistic since people will rather carry their mistakes to their graves rather admitting it.

Maybe it's just me but the old man doesn't act like an old man nor gentleman. To me, it feels more like a typical yuri couple a S girl is replaced with an old man.

This manga adaptation is awful. The manga feels like a different story to the novel. I think its because the mangaka/artist didn't manage to convey MC's monologues and personality through visual-storytelling.

@Kayriel i know this is old but I just have to point out MC does exactly that in the future, nipping problems in the bud left and right for a smooth journey. But ironically, readers are now complaining that he's too nosy and too careful and too much of a saint. So, there's that.
