When the Villainess Is in Love

@aragaki_ayaya This couldn't be farther from tearmoon; Its closer to bakarina. Glorious sage of the empire Mia Luna Tearmoon retains her selfish, cowardly, arrogance on her retry and grows as a person without murdering her core personality. I'm only in this because the original princess is a...

The NPCs in This Village Sim Game Must Be Real!

@Zero13 Well, the character growth is the biggest draw for me. Every time I see a Japanese product extoll Japanese men to improve themselves, I smile. I wonder if there is a corresponding female protagonist version of this self improvement? At any rate, this is great stuff.

My Fiancé is in Love with My Little Sister

Another thing which bugs me about web novel, super spoiler x 1000 incoming: [/spoiler] So if thats the ending, its unearned and drops a great plot point in favor of ending the story quickly.

My Fiancé is in Love with My Little Sister

Not sure how I like the direction where web novel went. If that was a happy ending, it was too easy and unearned. If things are actually still continuing, then it has the crime of doing a large, multi chapter flashback with a completely unrelated character's history. Huge waste of pathos.

Deathbound Duke's Daughter and Seven Noblemen

@thefanulouspotato The light novel, available in English for purchase on j-novel.club, cleared up a lot of misunderstandings I had both about alchemy and the original gsme's plot. hopefully the light novels sell well enough in the west that we get volume 3 and onwards, as they truly are well...

    Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?

@HIVARNA early story is our girl winning through smarts as she is actually really weak. and ends up fighting excessively harder challenges. What makes the novel truly great are the side stories that I presume are now finally going to be drawn very shortly. They were in the light novel from...

Tearmoon Teikoku Monogatari ~Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story~

@Macken to be fair, I don't think this is a shoujo; the art cleaves towards male prefs both here and in the light novel; most tellingly, the male leads don't all look excessively flowery. Mia herself maintaining her selfish personality (not to mention Mia trademark laziness!) is a far cry from...

Tearmoon Teikoku Monogatari ~Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story~

What makes Mia SSS top tier villainess isn't looks or her pride as a villainess (she has none): its the fact that her original personality doesn't get erased/overwritten when she gets her do-over. Sure, she grows as a person slightly, but the selfish, conceited, cowardly Mia we all know and love...

@chuyo they're obsessed with the setting because the setting is rad. Faux-European high nobility is a great backdrop for fairy tales.

My Fiancé is in Love with My Little Sister

Main character in chapter zero: "I have neither a beautiful face or a slender frame" She is drawn both with a beautiful face and a slender frame: Case of Japan beautifying everything or main character being clueless?
