This is hands down the least favorite arc in Eroko-san I've ever read - the setup was way out of line with Koharu trying to pitch her brother to "confess" to Eruko without even consulting her childhood friend, and Hoshi acting like an obsessive and overprotective boyfriend doesn't help either...

Basically the series got a soft reboot. Manga Time previously only allowed 4-koma publication so this series had to go by that format, but this restriction has been lifted so the author decided to transition to traditional manga style at the start of vol.6.

Basically what happened was the series got a soft reboot due to magazine policy changes, so the timeline gets a bit messy. You may already read the future events because it's included in vol.1-vol.5, but starting from vol.6 we enter this arc, which was not translated before.

Risumai is a veteran artist, however I can't say for certain about Hanyuu (The author, who writes all the script). The issue likely came from having to rewrite stuff from the WN/LN, causing some dialogues to get lost or not rewritten to adapt to the manga plots.

Trust me, I'd love that too... the problem is, the writing of this manga is so terrible that it takes Kitsune months to figure out what the author intends to mean (sometimes we'd have to dig the WN/LN for context, too). This series is hard to translate, but not because of long text or complex...
