I knew this had to have been a Hina story at the climax even before Yuuma confirmed it.

On the top right shelf in the cabinet on page 7, looks like Clayman from ch. 3!

While Yuuma's are heart-stopping, Hina's stories are always the most heart-wrenching.

This is perhaps the most awful story about how spirits "pass on" I've ever read. The poor kid already died but was happy to still be with his family, but then without realizing his parents re-killed him.

The entity featured in this story taking the form of the collected resentment of a jilted lover could be based on a real Japanese folklore called the Ikiryo or "Living Ghost", said to be either the whole or part of someone's spirit that leaves their body and may go and haunt or curse the source...

I like how the tone to Hina's stories is more melancholic than Yuma's.

The story lead you to believe eventually the mask would be taken off in some chilling reveal, but nope there was only sadness.

The author really channeled Junji Ito with this story. One of the best stories thus far.

I am a total sucker for Hasshaku-sama stories.. It is also fitting that the story involving the one monster that targets small boys is also the first one to confirm the real monster talking the little boy telling said story.
