@themanj Yep, Aideen gives off those vibes for sure. And in this story both countries are absolute monarchies where people apparently don't know of a different form of government, so your point of view can't be a valid reason for the heroine.

I feel no chemistry between them, none. Another manhwa that was off to a good start and became boring much too soon.

That's not really how loyalty to your homeland works... If you were loyal in the first place, it doesn't disappear so easily with the death of one person, no matter how dear to you he was and how treacherous the current ruler is. And Aideen here doesn't simply want to carry out a coup d'etat...

So we have a character channeling a lazy author scoff at lazy authors, huh. What keeps irking me the most though is how the original heroine's personality is described. Even lazy authors strive to make their heroes likable, but Ariel is drawn and described like a caricature. It's not believable...

@Sparklepink12K I love long comments on Mangadex since they usually have substance and provide interesting perspectives, even when I don't agree with them. And in this case I agree with you so it's even better :D Seeing as I have no friends who read manhwa and have no one to discuss such things...

@Vinh Seems appropriate. It's not like we'll see the original villainess fall in love anyway. Honestly, what the new MC is doing is kinda irresponsible. At this rate Eugene will fall in love with her, while she only likes him as "a beautiful man from a book". And more importantly, I suspect...

When will something interesting finally happen... I'm losing interest fast. There's no depth to the characters, and the world building is a mess. Too much telling, too little showing.

This is a really dumb development. Sigh, at the beginning it was a promising manhwa. It's got kinda boring lately, but this is even worse than boring. Useless drama ahead? Hope not.
