This was a failed experiment in what happens when you make a side character your protagonist. Scratch that, a side character probably wouldn't have put himself down nearly every single chapter. There are plenty of manga that are worth reading where the protagonist doesn't "get the girl" and...

Well, that was an awkwardly placed chapter. Not really what I expected from the "vanilla monster girl waifu" anthology.

What a lackluster end to the series. it had a lot of potential but it seemed Ishida Sui didn't know what he was doing while writing :re ; he was all over the place. Anyways, at least we got some semblance of closure in the final chapter even if it was just a long series of text boxes.
