Now this raise the question if she's just some random girl who happen to end up looking like the girl or if her appearance didnt change and she just removed the memories of her past. Also you can see crocodile from One Piece on the cover of the magazine on the last page.

This is obviously the mangaka weak attempt at portraying both side of the conflicts as bad, except it doesnt work and just fall flat. The humans are still the one who started this genocide as far as we know, there is no downplaying it and trying to make it an ambigus conflicts is dumb.
