8 pages. She was dead for 8 pages. If you want tension, 8 pages isn't enough. Maybe like, at least have it take 3 hours frantically trying to get her to a healer. And the pearl comes in clutch at the end. Actually garbage story telling and a waste of those visceral death pages.

Y'know what, I think the bully is actually an interesting character. Morally flawed kid dealing with too much shit to make even remotely good decisions. MC still annoys me but maybe the author will backstory it into being interesting too.
