@EpicArmpit - considering this manga is released weekly and the author hasn't had any extended breaks, he is the opposite of lazy. I would blame the weekly structure and the pressure it brings more than anything.

I'm assuming in the next chapter, Sumi is now aware of Mami being a maneater due to her previous encounter, and that's the reason she doubles down on her affection on Kazuya. That would make the spin-off 100% canon with the main series.

I really dislike the cover of Chizuru solely because of that ridiculous thigh gap. Author should've drawn her thighs closer so it doesn't look like she has a hip deformity. Anyways, back to the chapter. Glad Ruka went on a rampage for once, because Mami really had it coming to her.
