Isekai Izakaya "Gen" - Vol. 8 Ch. 45 - The Mysterious Story Collector and A Mysterious Girl

The fox is a girl. It has been mentioned as such in a previous chapter. The person you were replying to might have misunderstood or miswrote because it has been specified the fox is a divine messenger for Inari. She is however not a deity herself. If we're talking about clothes, it's not true...

Oishinbo - Vol. 9 Ch. 7 - The Best Meat

Oh yeah, that guy looks big and tough aaaaaaand then you see what his dad looks like. Unless he was planning to do it while the dad is asleep there's no way he could've done anything.

    Oishinbo - Vol. 9 Ch. 79 - Japan-US Taste Battle

It's nice to see Jeff again. I was wondering if he was ever going to return or if he was a one-time side character.

Oishinbo - Vol. 6 Ch. 49 - To Season with Sharpness

This is one of the chapters where I felt the correlation between the food and the personal relationship feels like such a stretch, but a lot of the Oishinbo chapters are like this so I just shrug it off now 😅

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto ~Maomao no Koukyuu Nazotoki Techou~ - Vol. 8 Ch. 33 - Perfume Oil

It really bothers me seeing that flower tea being called "jasmine tea". That flower is not jasmine. There are flowering teas that contain jasmine in the bundle, but either way plain old "jasmine tea" does not look like that. Since this error was present in both manga adaptations, I can only...

    Happiness Meal - Vol. 2 Ch. 26 - Osechi

That panel with the empty table all set out was so heartbreaking  But it makes the happy end more satisfying.

Detective Conan - Ch. 1131 - The Lead-Coloured Middle Day

"Lead colour" is a term used to describe a dark overcast/cloudy weather. As the people in the chapter says, it looks like it's going to rain. It's a kind of grey colour. Hex code #7B7C7D. Not sure if the colours in the titles mean anything. The first one was a "dried blood" red. Second was this...

Isekai Izakaya "Gen" - Vol. 7 Ch. 42.5 - Camille's Dress Up Mission

It's been a while so I forgot... Is Camille supposed to be pretending to be a man or is she just dressing up in male clothes for practicality? I mean, I kind of don't get why does she have to wear a dress otherwise. Couldn't they just tell the convent she is a woman dressed in male clothes?

Oishinbo - Vol. 9 Ch. 78 - Five Year Pasta

Yeah, agree with that other person. Not seeing the wife's reaction to all this feels wrong, and how that guy even won with that stuffed pasta is not very well conveyed. Like, sure, that pasta was interesting, but hoe is that better than the other guy's cooking? Man, oh well. Maybe the author...

Isekai Izakaya "Gen" - Vol. 6 Ch. 36 - Sukiyaki with Raw Egg & Rice

Japanese language often do not use distinguishable gendered pronouns (he/she), so the translator probably either didn't know or forgot. The fox's human form in that little panel isn't overly clear if it's male or female.

Isekai Izakaya "Gen" - Vol. 5 Ch. 29 - Two Gourmands

You are right, it is Hamburg steak. It's a common translation error because the Japanese spelling is very similar. ハンバーグ (hanbaagu) for Hamburg steak, and ハンバーガー (hanbaagaa) for hamburger. Google Translate translates both as "hamburger", which really does not help the confusion.

Isekai Izakaya "Gen" - Vol. 5 Ch. 25 - Behind the Door

Nobu had no issue exchanging the isekai money to yen, I wonder why there are problems here.

Detective Conan - Ch. 1130 - The First Day in Gardenia Hue

The fainting is super sus to me, so my guess is that actress did it. Also the way the second victim shouted is weird. I feel like that person might have been suspended on the railing somehow, before the opening door dropped her.

No problem, I happen to read that series too!

Oishinbo - Vol. 9 Ch. 2.2 - Reasons For Not Eating (Part 2)

LOL, surprise charity donation. I was wondering what they were gonna do with the money. It's already obvious Yamaoka wasn't gonna actually get it.

    Happiness Meal - Vol. 2 Ch. 24 - Gyudon

It was Katsudon there, not Gyuudon. "Katsu" (breaded meat cutlet) is also the pronunciation of 勝 ("winning/victory"), so the trope of eating katsudon either to wish for a win, or to celebrate a win happens in various manga titles. Katsudon usually uses pork, but technically speaking I think it...

Happiness Meal - Vol. 2 Ch. 21 - Filefish Sashimi

Just a little note, I think the translator missed the joke a bit here. "Oyaji-dono" does not mean "good sir", it's a funny way to say "dad". "Oyaji" is a very informal term for dad, but adding -dono seems to makes it semi-polite. So in manga and stuff it tends to be used to address a "fatherly...

Happiness Meal - Vol. 2 Ch. 20 - Grilled Saury

I think those random people with the ball and food aren't freeloaders, but the manga artist's neighbours from downstairs. The "house" that he lives in looks more like a small apartment/housing block rather than one single house. The neighbour with the kids must have invited the artist to their...

    Oishinbo - Vol. 9 Ch. 1.2 - Elements of a Hamburger (Part 2)

Oh, so it was the bread! I reread the previous chapter, and I didn't realise the first time that of all the high quality things he mentioned he had gotten, the bread was not among them.

    Oishinbo - Vol. 9 Ch. 1.1 - Elements of a Hamburger (Part 1)

Can't wait to hear what was wrong here. Is the meat too dry? Too lean of a cut maybe?
