@johnpoop2529 Couldn't agree more. It's one of the worst clichés in manga. The tsundere is the worst one for me, but this one comes in at a very close second.
Kind of hard to keep reading this as he's basically running on autopilot, even more than the usual "Zero-to-hero" stories. This guy is literally being guided directly without doing much himself at all. It was kind of meh to begin with, now it's just ZzzZZzZZzz...
The ones recognising him thinks he's clever as shit, the ones who doesn't think the world has gone completely insane. I love the writing in this series.
Kind of hard to take any of them serious when they are all drawn as chibis. Did the author intend for everyone to look like they were 7 years old or is it just a really poor art-style?
Seriously, he spends half the chapter talking about how scary her stats are and STILL let's her control him like an idiot? I know he's supposed to be a child, but really...
Maybe having someone other than a flimsy little girl be the referee would be a good plan if you actually want the "rules" to be uphold, but i'm guessing that's not really what Purgatory wants in any case.
