I've seen translators use the male/female symbols after "I" in a few TG/CD manga recently and it honestly feels the most natural way to do it and doesnt break the flow at all. There's only so many times I can read a TL note or I(Boku) etc lol

Good manga. Had a bit of a serious psychological edge to it, with the threat of choosing a girl basically spelling the death for the third girl that everyone loved, who couldn't ever be realistically chosen, creating some understandable stakes for the characters to try and hide their feelings...
