The explanation is literally on the second page of the first chapter and is referenced a few times later on. This is entertaining for the moment. But the MC is an unlikable sociopath so not sure how long the one gimmick can sustain this for. Then again running a tired gimmick into the ground...

Decided to re-read this. I forgot how amazingly ok the protagonist, a modern day person from Japan, is with slavery. Its one of the more repellent of the common Isekai tropes. Then theres the eleven year old girl trying to rape the male lead. How did I not notice how creepy this was before?

This isn't bad. The basic premise reminds me a fair bit of Star Ocean II. I'm not crazy about the more recent developments. I don't think its "bad" per se, I'm just a bit bored with harem stuff.

This started out fun but its slowly going to shit. Also I think the classes were just for manners and such? Basically a fantasy version of "finishing school"? But its been a while since I read the earlier stuff so maybe it was explicitly bridal training.

With every chapter revealing how evil basically everyone was it makes the MC look like a bigger and bigger moron for not realising anything was up when he was alive. The majority of the kingdom are comically evil.

The irony of mocking people for missing the "generic MC" when the other characters are even more generic and shallow is palpable.

It wasnt amazing at the start but it was cute and amusing enough. But it very very quickly goes entirely off the rails. The translation isnt great but the story itself quickly becomes entirely incoherent.
