@Legionary_Hunter She wasn't fighting back because she could probably have broken out of the grasp fairly easily but didn't want to escalate the situation. She wasn't expecting magic. Foolhardy but not something that's too impossible to believe.

I very much hope that they can pull off a murder without getting anyone in trouble. That's what friends are for, after all.

There's nothing immediately fatal about being hit in the stomach compared to a hit in the brain or heart. She'd normally die of blood loss in a minute or two, but she'd not die from it instantaneously if she gets magical medical attention fast. Which may or may not arrive in time.

@Freiza59 @Lemongrassv it's not ok, and Rei is guilty of the actions she's taking. There's reasons for it, and she is still called out later on quite rightly so. She herself (spoilers) It doesn't excuse her selfish actions but it's certainly not just because of the author's carelessness or...
