These translations need a lot of work. Even when the meaning is mostly conveyed, the poor spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax make for a difficult read.
Fourteen chapters and I still don't understand their goal. It doesn't really seem to be "world domination," and they seem like mostly decent people, so why fight at all? Just for the sake of being sentai "bad guys"?
I know that all of the chapter translations have been problematic so far, but it's especially unfortunate that a chapter about translating languages would be hard to follow because the translation isn't great.
And of course he was going to be one of those "I don't feel anything from killing other people" protagonists.
This series is deeply boring. It's just one cliché piled on top of the next. I'll be dropping it now.
@nobaka Of course rape is pretty scary. But that doesn't mean it's good storytelling to have every villain that shows up threaten to rape the female characters.
And even after everything, the mass-murdering piece of shit only gets a hole in his side. He's still going to be alive at the end of the series, isn't he? Presumably without ever facing real consequences for his crimes. Disappointing.
The thing is, the teacher is right to be concerned about her future. Being a gravure idol is not a long-term career path. Without a good academic record, her options are going to be greatly limited when her modeling jobs run dry in a few years.
