The art is good and the motions/kinetics feel right. The MC himself hasn't been given much depth of personality as yet, but only the first chapter was available at the time of this writing. Just the quality of the art gives it an 8/10. There are no deal-breakers as of yet.

Please don't overdo it with the credit pages like that. Anytime mangadex image servers have the slightest hiccups, it takes a hundred times longer to load one page. Having 7+ credit pages is pretty painful.

You don't really say "martial arts player", you say "martial artist". Just like you don't say 'boxing player", but "boxer". Using "player" in relation to any fighting sport is pretty out of place.

Instead of translating to "Your son, I, ...", you should translate to "I, your son, ...". The first indicates that he's actually speaking of another person that is also her son, while the second properly indicates that he is speaking of himself as her son.

Alright, please don't put things like "sob sob" into the speech bubbles, it feels off and breaks immersion. They are sound effects, not spoken words. Therefore, place them where sound effects belong, next to the character.

If it's been a while since you read the previous chapter (ch. 40), go back and read it once more. That chapter, in particular, contains very important plot devices that you want to have fresh in your mind.

@Nirimetus Well, who decided it or why it was cut short doesn't really matter to me as a reader. A manga that ends so abruptly and obviously unfinished is jarring enough to get called axed. Even the fact that the novel keeps going is nothing special at all - it's been that way with both anime...
