@NazrinMaus IMHO these authors should only update us on what relevant ones have increased. Most things on the list don't matter to the reader and could be omitted.

@Wildfire To be fair, you can condense a lot more development into a novel chapter than a manga. Name-dropping 10-12 new characters in two dozen pages doesn't give the reader anything to go on as far as being interested in them yet.

I think the beginning to this one is kinda weak compared to how Konosuba opens, but as long as the character interactions are fun, I'm fine with it. Although maybe the novel does a better job of it and its just the manga adaptation is a little jilted and not paced as well.

@LonelyHikikomori It's fine, in most cases I wouldn't say anything, but that is an important scene so getting the nuance correct matters. I would use: "I've always thought... || You were too cute to be a boy." Technically "You had a girlish cuteness to you." but I think the other one flows...
