I was super excited for this update but Clarence never seems to DO anything. The men around her are moving the plot by themselves and she's just there too.
Eventually, Pryde is going to have a harem of dudes she's keeping around in case she turns evil. I bet she asked him to take her out if she ever goes rogue.
This story is actually really funny, but it leans really hard on the one joke. The cast of characters is good, but I wish we saw more of them. If you're into wacky misunderstanding type romcoms, give it a shot.
BOOIIII Clarence can take care of herself. Do these guys not realize she could snap half of the civilians in the place in half without breaking a sweat?
So I get the whole OP skill revenge fantasy, but this dude literally has a skill that will instant-kill anyone around him. How are you supposed to root for a "hero" who will never lose?
I really want that idiot merchant to get slapped down at the capitol when the duke and prince find out how he's treating a national hero, but I also really want Clarence to just straight pimp slap him. Both would be good.
While I like the whole Midwest Gothic feel to this, the pacing is weird. I liked the story, but it feels like it spent half the pages just setting up, and rushed to the finish line.
