5 chapters and the truth is revealed. I like that, since she was never going to pass as Violet indefinitely as she's way too different and it's good it wasn't dragged out too long there.

I think it's trying to say people can change but when you get targeted by death and the changes you're taking are being ignored and pushed to the side because the one targetting you doesn't believe you can, then eventually they may not bother trying.

It's why it's potentially possible here. Most spirits seem to have been dead for a bit. But she's just died, and her spirit has been used to regularly leaving her body. If this had been a day later, no chance. But at this moment? It's the only time it would seem viable for this to work.
