Kinda thought it would be him showing up at home after his service with the ladies and a buncha kids, but this was serviceable, even if it lacked any sexiness.

I see this pretty often in manga. I don't know if Japanese actually has a different term for in-laws and steps. So, I often see in-laws pop up to describe steps. On a side note, always surprised to see a Tatsubon manga that's not yuri.

Just nothing happening with this really contrived plot. It's literally the "sit there and do nothing" story arc while the villain is obnoxious. Denys decides to be a hypocrite and tell his foster mom not to do exactly what he himself has did at the beginning of the story arc. Just kinda over it.

I remember when stuff used to happen in this series. Maybe a year? two years ago?

Used to really enjoy this series, but this arc is a drag for how much I had initially anticipated it. The male lead is spineless. The brother's a raging asshole. Chris kinda stands up to him but also lets him walk all over her husband. And no one's communicating. Basically, the sorta contrived...

Hope it's a fake out. I'm pretty out of patience for the bait and switches like this.
