@permisan That might of been explained in the novel but glossed over here. Felt rushed when explaining the weird markings on their hand and obtaining abilities. Maybe he attempted to eat a monster trying to procure an alternate food supply.

@Velsy Nah beta authors do the op wish fulfillment isekai trash that has no plot. Author here was going for the realistic route where just having a few weeks of training isn’t enough to keep your shit together when things go south. Whether the mc improves down the road or not is another story.

Love the authors comments, it’s interesting that the author and artist are married to each other. Don’t think I know of any other manga that has a couple working on it together.

@Tatsuya-Kai Agreed, especially when considering she an elf. It only makes sense if he’s young they can be together that much longer before he dies of old age.

@ericbj If you follow any of the other manga this group does it’s been explained that they release the chapters exactly as it officially comes out.

When the golem was stopped with that pause sign I thought it was his daughter pausing the game. Or was that the preserialization.
