Suspecting the Demon Lord was interviewing him as a successor candidate. Hopefully, that doesn't mean something like 'the demon king's daughter' is supposed to marry him, but shows up because she hates the idea. Tired of constantly introduced females for MCs.

This chapter sucked. Different pacing, different feel, and just not what I was wanting from this manga. Hopefully, it is just build up for her tragic removal from existence.

My theory for the upcoming is this. Due to an idiot Noble's son/Guildmaster, the lord of the town is going to pick a fight and Touya will end up the town lord? Finally, becoming the noble he is constantly told he must be. I know, with this level of insight, I must have read 'any other isekai.'

The start was pretty bland, but it built up well. Now, I want more. Pleasant surprise.
