A 3-month hiatus... but given the quality of the manga (especially when compared to the anime), I suppose the artist deserves a break.

It's because the split is done abruptly and not with artistic intention. A proper manga chapter has an opening, climax, and ending (or cliffhanger) in a good sequence. Break it in half and you only get a pigsty instead.

Especially since each of them have different expressions instead of a lazy copy-paste XD

We're slowly, but surely catching up with the anime. Still, I feel that this scene is more fleshed out in the manga... They really shouldn't have squeezed in that last arc in the anime.
