@Exile as a business man it is NEVER the patrons fault. A business is both it's customers and it's product, and if I'm losing more and more people due to a bad product, then I'll remove the product to keep the customer. Obviously MD is not a capital venture, but the credits page for one group...

@flavorful if reddit upvotes aren't a useful metric for you, then look at the sheer amount of downvotes the people who disagreed with the new rule got. Some people got into the double digits of downvotes, which is a feat in and of itself since reddit lowers and hides them after a short while.

@Validissimus an app is definitely not happening, seeing as that’s what took down mangarock. As html support gets better on both the device and website end, we should see less issues.

I guess this wouldn’t be a request for v5 but for a extension for firefox/chrome that keeps track of all manga you’ve read, not just follows, and then saves it locally to a .txt file. This way it doesn’t clutter the servers and people can access and move it around as they wish.

@KobeisGOAT Mangadex was built on the laurels that it’s pro scanlator, meaning that they just host the chapters and will never interfere with their uploads unless it grossly breaks the rules. So the group has to be the one to go back and remove all their chapters and reupload them grouped together.
