This is actually pretty good. I'm hooked!
Early prediction here: something bad happened to the girl, that's why she disappeared. She doesn't seem to be deceiving him at all by the flashbacks.
It doesn't matter what kind of backstory he has, it still doesn't excuse the way h treated the death of his Familia members or how he treated everyone else after that.
The premise is cool, but the art makes it hard to follow the events. Nearly every panel is a close up shot of their faces, it's hard to tell when they move to other scenarios and sometimes even to understand who is speaking.
@CaptainKitten12 He is a magician from the future, just like Magito. He wants to make a big spectacle of the entire fight between the devil and the church.
No, it's not your fault. Hoshino is the one being paranoid while you just lived your life like a normal teenager boy growing out of his shell.
You grew up, Hoshino regressed. That's all there is to it.
Also, this whole arc is contrived.
@letakel I don't think it's the drama that bothers me, but the art when the drama hits. The way their eyes expand while their pupil shrinks and the toning makes it look like they're having ominous thoughts doesn't really paint characters falling in love, but rather bordering psychopathy.
