This series was never good, but it kept doing the sudden rug pulls and big twists and now it's just Taizan jerking off about his deeply concerning obsession with dysfunctional/abusive families

People are getting swept up by the sudden twists and confusing reveals while ignoring that this whole series is a bathos-riddled trainwreck. The only thing Taizan5 has going for him is a willingness to indulge in unpleasant topics like abuse and dysfunctional families and people excuse way too...

Great art. Awful writing. Instead of introducing several dozen side characters, this sort of thing could have been built up over the series's entire run. Instead, we get a mad dash to the finish line as Hori tries to cram in every last second bit of character development he forget to do earlier.

Fuckin' moronic that Hori is trying to redeem Toga as a misunderstood victim of society after writing her as an amoral psychopath who literally slit an old woman's throat just for a chance to murder a hero who was trying to do search and rescue during a disaster.

Some would say it's silly for a 13 chapter manga to need 7 chapters of recap... and they'd be right.

Itagaki really seems to have lost his grasp on what he was even trying to convey with this whole story. Thanks for all your hard work though, Spiny Black team!

Not surprised by it, because they showed this twist a while back. I'm just surprised that any editor let a chapter like this get printed. One or two pages, sure.. Most of a chapter wasted on photos of a woman awkwardly posing while we get blasted with WORDS WORDS WORDS is just terrible.

Man, sure sucks that there aren't enough heroes around. Would be much easier to avoid all this carnage if everyone had quirks, huh?
