Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Ch. 19 - I've Been Feeling Kind of Strange…!

Don't let your prejudice get in the way. This has nothing to do with the mangaka being a woman. Yuuki is not a well adjusted man. He still lived with his parents as a 35-year old. He had difficulties adjusting to any relationship due to him not having any confidence in relation to his own...

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara

What part of the title you didn’t understand? “Dramatic” is right there, you know? Also, what are you doing looking for a “cute and innocent” romance in a seinen series about a couple of mid-thirties, slightly dysfunctional people? I think your disappointment is more due to your self-imposed...

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Ch. 19 - I've Been Feeling Kind of Strange…!

That’s the bit I was talking about Enomoto using all these TV drama cliches and turning them around into something different. The trope would have him sulking and having an existential crisis, but here it’s just him busy with his life, whilst dealing with the problem as an adult. This is what...

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Ch. 18 - You Never Change, Do You?

She didn't cancel their date - Yuuki was stuck doing overtime and cancelled, with her saying it was fine since she had other plans. Still, of course he would be bummed by it.

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Ch. 18 - You Never Change, Do You?

Making fun on the sense that it takes these common tropes and "subvert" them, allowing them to reach outcomes which are generally the opposite that would be expected. Yes, it is on itself a homage to these kind of stories, whilst still an original and unique story between Ban and Yuuki.

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Ch. 18 - You Never Change, Do You?

Nah, just wait, then. We will get there eventually. I read it on Comic Days weekly, but yeah, buying stuff quickly mounts up.

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Ch. 18 - You Never Change, Do You?

I mean, there's more "drama" on this one and not as much SoL as "I Have a Crush At Work" (that's the official title in English), but all the drama is for fun, or better yet, for making fun of common TV tropes, etc. One thing I can say is that Enomoto continues to write adult characters very well.

Drama na Koi wa Kihon kara - Vol. 2 Ch. 15 - There's No Way Someone Would Be the Way You Expected Them to Be

Yuuki was a bit mad because, when Ban said she has never fallen in love, he thought that she was inexperienced in relationships as he is (which isn’t really the case). He misunderstood what she said. Her friend is just mad with her because she thinks Ban said too much, scaring the guy.
