Every time there’s drama in a romcom it feels dumb, forced, or out of character, but this... this is brilliantly set up, unbelievably so. It’s inline with the characters, it’s not egregiously cliché or forced, and it wasn’t just “I misheard you”.
@vicdavel as a scanalator myself, I can testify that this is your artistic take on someone else’s work, and while people may scream for accuracy, what they really want is something cohesive and good, you can’t capture the nuances of one language to another so changing it to fit another language...
Don’t let the cliché sounding plot fool you, this so far has been exceptionally well thought out and some of the jokes are very witty, so give it a shot if you’re on the fence
