Most of if not all this author’s works have had happy or at least optimistic ends. A lot of his manga have the main character go through a journey, normally a psychological one, with the ending being them moving past their trauma.

Yukio’s situation with her mother has hinted at back in chapter 36, where she asked Sei if he’ll ever abandon her. I recommend taking a look at chapter 36, since that chapter gives her a strange yandere/his mother vibe.

Hopefully she helps him come to terms with what he’s been through.
