Suspecting this manga is about to suffer from its own success. Way too many works these days that don't die on time due to their own popularity, and the authors end up dragging out the story.
"Would you win against a genuinely happy gyaru?"
"Nah, I'd lose."
The work seems to come across as a self indulgent comfort series. But for the genre, those tend to be the best. Hopeful that the author doesn't feel the need to make things dramatic.
I get the impression that she is a deeply stressed, albeit successful lady. Judging from her blatant pleasure in speaking her deepest, most intrusive thoughts with someone she can comfortably assume won't even think of leaving her, she's probably in some sort of situation at work that forces her...
Thanks for the chapter. Feels like the author (or artist? Unsure of who called the shot on it) dragged out a basic explanation for an entire chapter. The pretties gambit could have been explained much faster, and filled the entire chapter with nothing more than fluff.
It's alright Mako. You'd never lose to a tanned, smart trap with an elephant cock and long blonde locks.
....She needs to break into that bath post haste.
Thank you for the translation. It feels like the author has decided that the best way to make their character seem intelligent is to drop the IQ of her enemies to room temperature. First the knight, and now this behaviour from that dude in front of royalty and the kid's own fiancee. Wew.
