I appreciate how the setting is unironic fantasy. The protagonist isn't purely some quippy self-aware insert for the modern reader, he is of the world too.

I still want the magic faction to win, though I know it won't happen. At least from the comfortable position of a reader, the magic faction, prizing individual talent and self-governance, has something much more romantic than the ruthlessly egalitarian industrialization of the government faction.

I get that it's legally possible to complain, but I don't get the motivation in this context. Reading snippets of song lyrics doesn't 'replace' listening to a song, no 'potential listeners' are being stolen. If anything, some readers might look up the featured songs and bands to listen to them...
