Yeah, this translation wasn't the best. It was probably accurate, but you need to do more when you're translating a media to a different culture. While you don't want to go completely off the rails like a rewrite, it's okay to take SOME liberties to make it flow better.

Either the people who write these types of stories have no idea how long 30,000 years is, have no life experience whatsoever, or never watched Groundhog Day. It is nearly inconceivable that someone that old wouldn’t mature at least a little. I think even Peter Pan matured more than that.
