Can we consider that she probably isn't suicidal considering how she was behaving in this chapter ? Having a dream doesn't mean that you can't be suicidal but still she doesn't act like she is.

@eng1 If you kill the commander, another one could replace him. It could be more interesting to plant a spy near him to counter all of his plans.

It could be possible that she knew that he was there and did that to gain his favour and spy on him.

There's one thing that's bothering me. If the sky kingdoms have that much power (they're able to destroy moutains and all...), their wars should have much more effects visible or tangible from the ground. Like cities, or parts of them at least, falling to the ground.
