At the end of the day, this will in all likelihood have a minimal impact. The most popular series will get sniped by people either upset with the groups leaving or looking to steal their thunder, and many readers will go to other aggregators for everything else. The "wanting to go legit" thing...

@Theobane The thing is, if you want a "little bit of money to get by," you ask for donations on the credits pages or such. You don't open up a Patreon unless you actually want to make money off what you're doing. Here's a hot take: If these people think their work is good enough to make money...

@boont You say that like there aren't a dozen aggregator sites that aggressively make ad revenue while posting works without the knowledge or consent of the scanlators. What got MD popular was that it was better than those sites, and a lot of the people complaining don't seem to realise just how...

It's been getting slightly better for me, but the manga pages are still loading slowly/not loading at all.
