@8man Childhood friends. Which, in anime terms, means one of them was in love with the other but they'll never get together because childhood friends never win.
I never played with most of the toys in this series, but you don't even want to know how many Zoids I owned growing up. It was my first anime ever. Seeing Shield Liger pop up at the end made me so happy, and if it had been Liger Zero instead, and used Strike Laser Claw, I probably would've cried...
@Nk9bjP4A He didn't create a skill that allowed him to reverse zombification, he edited Vasiel's skills to remove it, and that cost him 500 LP. After that, he only has 400 left, meaning he can't do that again until he builds up more. He might be able to get a skill that reverses it, but it would...
"Tepes - Dance in the Vampire Bund reference." Or maybe it's, I don't know, a reference to Count Vlad Tepes III, AKA "Son of the Dragon," AKA "Vlad the Impaler," AKA "Count Dracula?"
You know, the most famous vampire ever?
@SiKucing That's always how it happens in Greek myth, though. It's impossible to avoid prophecy, and if you try, you just end up fulfilling the prophecy yourself.
@firosahoge Yoshikage Kira is a serial killer from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. That's the monologue he introduces himself with. He cuts off and carries around the hands of his victims.
...Planets don't become supernovas. Stars become supernovas, and even then, only if they're big enough. The sun, for instance, isn't big enough to become a supernova when it dies.
Regardless of that error, this was pretty cute, and I'd like to see it get serialized.
I haven't gotten this invested in an ongoing series in a long time, so I'm truly sad to see it go like this. What we did get was fantastic, and I wish we could've gotten to see the story in full. I wish the author all the luck in the world in his future endeavors!
I tried out Kenichi after seeing people comparing this and it, and honestly, I like this more. I couldn't tell you why, but this is just more entertaining to me personally. Totally understand slowing down the translation due to the lack in interest, though. You didn't even have to pick this up...
@AdamaGeist it was written as part of a Trigun anthology. Not sure why it's here, instead of in that collection. It was enjoyable, though, revisiting the world of one of my first anime through the lens of my favorite mangaka.
I laughed out loud
Can someone remind me again, do the Monster Town stories take place in the same universe as Sengoku Youko? I know they share a universe with Sanjin Sadou, since a couple of characters from that appear in one of the previous stories, but I can't remember if Sanjin Sadou takes...
The only manga I've ever read that's a 10/10. If you enjoy action, story, comedy, drama, great characters, thrilling fights, or talking lizards, you'll love this. Seriously, just read it. I have. Several times. And it just gets better every time.
I came into this looking for a quick laugh, maybe some fanservice, I expected to drop it after maybe 10 chapters.
Instead, I fell in love. This manga manages to have dramatic and comedic moments leading into each other almost seamlessly, fantastically well-written characters, great foreshadowing...
