@unknownids sadly the novel wasn't much better, the good moments are too far in-between.

@brainsucker Chinese and japanese stories seem to have different spectrums, Chinese MCs more combative, prideful and arrogant while japanese MCs are modest, naive, and peace-loving. Probably has to do with one still being militaristic and the other not so much, and their respected settings fit...

@Villager21 novels always have the edge over manga when it comes to details imo. Not that ive read this one but i have had similar experiences.

@DocWilly it offers better drama than the typical ntr scare/love rival crap we usually see. On top of it being social commentary on shitty idol culture at least there was build up to it and the author didnt just pull some shallow drama out of left field.
