If you want a story with espionage, politic manoneuvring, a solid FL, an intriguing ML, this is for you. The romance (if any) is probably definitely slowburn, but I find their relationship, which is based on mutual respect and trust, very satisfying even when not romantic (yet).

Plot is relatively serious and quite a bit of commentary on social class and economic disparity. Reminds me of Elizabeth Gaskell’s work (similar to Jane Austen, but dealing more with the lower class and the industrial revolution). If you want a more serious historical manhwa then I think this...
