The problem doesnt seems to be that he waited, but a sudden 2 year timeskip two chapters from the end is kinda... meh. Its like "you have to finish it on this volume which you are halfway through already" kinda thing. Could have spread it more, showed their holidays or something, building it up...

@roukoups because thats the "Korean Novel 101" way to write it. Check most other manhwa adapted from novels here on MD and you will see they all have lots of similarities. @Cirkal page 4 got swapped from an older chapter.

Good thing it wasnt just 'oh look, it was easy!'. They almost died, needed a plan, a backup plan and even then needed some knowledge to bring her back. And still is a bit sketchy.
