Another series that would be much better without the hamfisted, unnecessary "video game mechanics". The author's strength is writing interesting, likeable characters, he/she should rely on that and not the crutch of isekai geek appeal.

There's nothing more distasteful than a translator or editor who, rather than letting an author simply tell his story, finds it necessary to inject his own counterpoints and ideologies every step of the way. You know, readers can think for themselves. They can decide for themselves what's right...

Without a doubt the worst garbage I've ever read. A fascinating yet predictable look into the psyche of a bullied 14-year old. We can only be grateful Japan's lack of access to firearms prevented this one from becoming a school shooter.
