I didn't watch the anime, but I was still curious about the story, so I am reading the manga. I'm rolling my eyes at the serialization just for ecchi purposes, but I am intrigued by the story.

I agree. This isn't Shoujo Ai, but there are a ton of fans who operate under the notion of, "If the scissor-scissor action is implied even in the least little bit, then it is going on in the canon, and thus 'Shoujo Ai' applies." ?

I only bought this series 'cause Del Rey had a policy of always including Japanese honorifics in their adaptations. Since it went 11 volumes, I'm kinda surprised it didn't get an anime adaptation.
