I recall the battle between Sasha and Byaku taking a bit longer in the WN. The time for help to show up seemed much shorter in this version.

This series is always exceeding my expectations for it.
I got the first three paper volumes of this and they're great. You should all toss those onto your holiday gift lists.
I appreciate that they moved this part of the plot along so quickly, but these guys are bad at their jobs. Like, we go straight to 'secret peeping mirror in the baths' before anybody even considers 'my wife saw your wife in the baths'.
