@hyoretsu Then would it be possible for server to do the png compression as the file is being uploaded?

@Santiasan ideally .png since it's not lossy (aka 255 white will always be 255 white, where as jpg could compress your 255 white into 253 white. In reality it's not really noticable unless you dial your screen brightness to max and actively look for it, or for whatever reason use very high jpg...

Wouldn't it be easier to just convert and store lossy JPGs when user upload the chapter? (And face the outrage from scan teams

@Ryomi indeed. i usually hate it when manga drag out a 'crucial' moment over multiple chapters, but this one feels way too rushed... Like come on, give me 3 chapters worth of flashbacks please :(
