Any one else get the impression that the art is slightly different in this chapter? Oku-san herself looks prettier and doesn't seem to be as fat and the kids were a bit more abstract. I wonder if the mangaka has transferred his fetish for chunky girls over to Hime Koukan?
To the scanlator: I had a look at the raws and had a crack at translating this. You've done way better than me and I can definitely sympathise with you for leaving out all the ...king stars & hearts that peppered the speech bubbles. Who the hell speaks with a star at the end of every sentence...
Just like a couple of others, I immediately noticed the non-purple eyes and leapt straight back to the chapter list to see if it was a new group... Just my opinion, but the coloured eyes are (were! sob) the icing on the cake here....mmmm, caaake.
Not for me those 5 random chapters! Everything in correct order and time. They can sit and rot for all I care, Emblemscans will come through with the goods!
This chapter was a bit weak tho, about as informative as one of You's youtube reviews. At least Hotaru's happy!
I'm confused. Was Miko in the clubroom with Susa & Amane when she was playing the Switch? I find it particularly tricky to keep track of time & places in this manga.
Weird trends in this manga - back in Vol 7 they started saying little noises 'mau' & 'un' which has finally faded away, but now the speech bubbles are littered with stars and hearts! Where's the legend for this?
@DRHizzle & @punpun
I suggest you both back up and have a look at the comments for the previous chapter where Dropout clearly says that once they got confirmation that the series is getting an official Eng release, they stopped working on it.
Thanks for the new chapter! I see Amazon JP has only 4 volumes of this work so it's good to know the scanlaters are onto it and not several volumes behind. Looking forward to a steady drip feed!
I'm picking this arc won't last more than a few chapters (I hope not. I've not seen raws in advance). Amano-san broke a 'bone'. What's the bet its just a dinosaur bone and he's really just broken hearted? He doesn't seem to have been home in years but mum can travel back & forth every month...
@RonBWL Henjo or Henjyo? In early chapters or scanlations the latter used to be the norm but is now less used. See penultimate page of ch74.
I don't think Henjyo is a word unless it's a portmanteau (with which the Japanese are prolific). Any Idea what it meant with regards this manga?
I only occasionally dip into this manga but I would have thought that at 261 chapters the mangaka would have learnt how to draw hair. The female MC seems to have a weird sea creature on her head that moves itself around to which ever side of her head is facing the reader regardless of her...
In panel 2, was that Yuuji dressed as a girl with an impressive pair of tits?
Whoops, I forgot - that's Akiras parents, the father being of somewhat diminutive stature. And a cross dresser.
Thanks Raptor Scans for your efforts seeing this through.
There must be some volume extras to come otherwise Vol10 is a bit thin which would be a cock up on the publishers part.
Timeline wise the story has some long gaps in it. Miku started cooking in order to graduate up from her first year in...
This mangakas shtick is getting a bit tiresome and I'll follow suit and make the same sort of comment here that I've made on Oku-san & Hime Koukan: if the MC is going to be embarrassed getting an erection in public, why the hell is he wearing trousers with a display pouch?
