See, the thing about the premise of this story is that, since I know the MC has 10 more deaths after this one (and given the fact that Death - the character - is a bitch who sets him up to fail), it's pretty much a given that this kid is going to die somehow. Kind of ruins the suspense a bit...

The more I skim through this manga (I've stopped reading it, I only skim now), the more I get the feeling that it's going to have one of those really shitty, "Muh Ree-uh-lizum", bittersweet endings. It had nice start, though. I'll give it that much.

@Heimdal Yes, she has been getting more aggressive, but she has not been abandoning the teasing at all. Are we reading the same manga? This is the first chapter in the entire series where she just flat out tells him that she likes him without pulling a fake out and teasing him immediately...

Is it just me, or did Takagi seem really out of character this chapter? Assuming she actually wrote 'suki dayo' in the sand, this is a far cry from her previous behavior. Before she would just bait and switch Nishikata, letting him think that she liked him but never outright confirming it...
