@testsubject123 It is indeed shorter. As far as I remember, most of this manga’s chapters have been 40 pages long, with the shortest before this being about 30. And to top it off, the first pages of this 20 pages chapter are dedicated to a dream sequence.

Itou does this "that person was dead all along" a lot, but this is probably his best story with this schtick.

Here's a neat little detail. Check out Avi's expression transition in pg 6. Going from focused to somber. That's the helmet (I assume) increasing and decreasing the lens' size to match the movement of his eyelids underneath.

You know what I just realized? One day, this manga will have a somber chapter (like, one girl confesses, the other is confused or some shit and fails to reply) which is going to end on a cliffhanger. And then we'll have to hold that sour taste for 2 - 3 months until the resolution for that...

Y’ know, for all the awful characters (in a shitty person way, not a shitty writing way), and the sensitive subject, and the intrigue... ... this author sure knows how to use silent panels and minimal scene composition. It's among thIs manga’s best aspects IMO. And thanks for the TL, Daph. ✌🏼
