The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 11 Ch. 55 - Too much time has passed by afterwards

Tokiwa managed to seem to get in on some growth or appearance-changing too - which is nice, considering she didn't have the advantage of the characters from three years ago.

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 11 Ch. 54 - In the Golden Sunset

She affirmed that he was living a more peaceful, happy life before attempting to leave. It seems obvious that she didn't forget why she pushed him off the stage. She cared and thought he had a chance to live a happier life and didn't want him to die. Strange that that delay is what gave her dad...

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 11 Ch. 53 - To Know Whether the Sea Is Truly Generous and Kind

Aya's presence for this meeting was absolutely instrumental. Nakamura looks way different from her original self. It's like she did the most growing. Kasuga looks like an older, shaggier version of himself. The real change for him is in the face, and it goes from "innocently wide"-ish as a kid...

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 10 Ch. 52 - Have You Noticed It

I heard Snake's "Kept you waiting, huh?" after she finally turned around. It's really painfully obvious that she had to compose herself before turning.

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 10 Ch. 51 - In the Light of Your Eyes

They're really an adorable couple. I finished my first readthrough wishing that Kasuga got with Nakamura, but his development with Tokiwa really is a lot healthier.

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 10 Ch. 50 - I Still Remember

Kinoshita's loneliness is so very PALPABLE here. Gunma really seems like an awful town. >all of Kasuga's "friends" there were assholes who turned his back on him when the going got bad for him >Saeki's upbringing was basically an attempt to mold a perfect child that just ended up being mentally...

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 10 Ch. 49 - Do You Know Anguish

Kinoshita's pretty underrated. As far as named characters go, she's easily one of the least important, but it's sad seeing her situation and how lonely she seems after three years. Saeki really should have been more considerate of her.

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 10 Ch. 48 - The corpse of a loved one is wrapped up

"...Kinoshita." "Oh, hey, the first person from my old school that I've seen in three years that didn't try raping me. That's pretty cool."

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 9 Ch. 46 - The Fountain of Eternal Youth

I'm pretty sure so, @flyingpig. Kasuga getting so messed up back in their home town led to depression for both of them, general feelings that they'd failed as parents (most heavily in his mom, going off of the chapter with her, Mr. Kasuga, and Mr. Nakamura in the hospital after Sawa smashed Mr...

The Flowers of Evil - Vol. 9 Ch. 45 - My love for you, as vast as the night sky

Reading this again after finishing it a bit ago. It's funny to me that his super cheesy proposal worked, because Aya being such a closeted bookworm means that she'd actually be more likely to appreciate it than most others. If she was, say, Saeki, it might have come across as too weird.

    Boy's Abyss

One of the downsides of having read Oyasumi Punpun the previous day is that I can't feel AS bothered by this yet. Still looks interesting regardless.

    Goodnight Punpun

I cannot believe I finished "Aku No Hana", decided that it'd be the most depressing thing I'd read all month, and then found this less than a day later. Masterfully crafted? Yes. Absolutely NOT the kind of crap that a guy with self-doubt and loathing issues should be reading at 3 AM? Yes. I'm...
