Now that I think of it, this arc has more of a… Franco-Belgian comic vibe to it, especially the forest bits. It might be why I like it so much.

…I don't know what happened but in the last few episodes the anime has actually become kinda… good…? Why wasn't it like that from the start?? Episode 16 in particular was excellent (though I have no idea why they removed the scene of Piodon breaking Seth's seal… It's kind of important…)
