@SpacyRicochet Yeah, it feels more like an ending than most axed series. But judging by the author's comment it's clear that he had planned to write more of it. It was simply "lucky" enough to end at a semi-conclusive point… like a season finale or something.

Clearly, Hoozuki was the worst part of the series. Back in chapter 13 the series had a color page with a big "SURGING POPULARITY!" so said popularity only started to nosedive after that… I do agree that the whole Like Battle setup was a bit iffy… But even then that arc had plenty of strong...

Yeah, Masuda should really try a story not set in a school… Then again, 90% of the Champion series seem to have a high school setting in some way…

So, question… The chapters after 93 were initially just numbered 94, 95, etc., but at some point (when the 17th volume came out) their numbers got rebooted as chapter 1, 2, etc… Should we create another page for the "Purple Lightning Witch" part and consider it a sequel series?

@LyingLyre Yeah, that's a common practice, just like being published near the end is usually not the sign of a stellar popularity. What I mean is that it's not an exact "ranking", just a general indicator of which series the editors choose to promote. Now I'm not sure how different the Jump is...

For such a young author, this was an interesting first try. He still has plenty of time to improve, so I might keep an eye on his next work.
