I finally read the LN, and I can say this manga is too good. Original LN is pretty decent, but the manga make a whole different level. The artist correctly depict the emotion from it and add some details. I really recommend anyone to read the LN.

For anyone interested in Sayu's past: This mangaka convey the LN quite well. At least so far, there's no romance between them yet. If anything, it was clash of value between all actors.

The art is good, but don't judge the story. The Novel is way too good to pass out. Seriously, this isn't even a tenth of the emotion. I agree that the mangaka does not understand the theme quite well. If you want to read tribal way of life, this is the novel you want.
